Last year we saw Google’s own Virtual Reality device called Google Cardboard which was as cheap as a burger. Actually you could even make one for yourself by following this guide. Now a lot of things have changes since last year with HTC Vive in the news. This virtual reality buzz started when Facebook bought Oculus Rift for $2 Million last year.
With hundreds of apps already for Cardboard, Google won’t do a mistake of making a version with no compatibility to those apps and thus they have included all the developers from the cardboard team for the development of Android for Virtual Reality Devices.
According to WSJ’s report the team working on this operating system is being led by Clay Bavor and Jeremy Doig.
After using Google Cardboard I am very excited to see this version of Android for VR and will definitely share updates with you guys as soon as I get them.
