A smaller and cheaper version of the original flagship, Z1F manages to keep most of the internal specs from the Xperia Z1. Mini versions of flagship smartphones have been quite popular. A lot of mini phones which have been released of late have been identical when it comes to looks, but performance wise, they have been quite inferior to their original versions. Smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini are quite low in specs which reduce the overall performance level. Sony has avoided that mistake with Z1F. It has managed to keep the specs, on par with the original flagship which has allowed Xperia Z1F to trump the iPhone in sales. The availability of the Xperia Z1F has created an even bigger buzz for its international variant, the Xperia Z1S. The Z1S is expected to be similar to Z1F. Lately, the Z1S is going by the name Xperia Amami as spotted at the FCC.
