Sony Xperia Z1S vs Xperia Z1F: Best Comparison

The Xperia Z1S and Xperia Z1F are two of the most discussed phones of the year 2013. Both smartphones provide you with a sleek style and amazing speed. With latest processors, you can switch between games and applications simply with the touch of a finger. Most features of both the smartphones are similar. The Z1S is a highly anticipated international android device with all the features of a high end smartphone. The Z1F is a lighter version of Sony’s flagship phone, Xperia Z1. It was released on the last half of this year. The positive reviews of the Z1F have led to a rise in demand for the Xperia Z1S.

                             
Touted to be the international variant of Xperia Z1F, The Sony Xperia Z1S, was on display at The FCC. The FCC listing shows the Xperia Z1S with model number Sony D5503, under the name: Amami. The listing also indicated that the supposed Xperia Z1S runs a few Android versions with build numbers 14.2.A.0.144 and 14.2.A.0.78. This high end smartphone is likely to be based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The Sony Xperia Z1S is expected to be equipped with a 4.3-inch Triluminos HD (720×1280) display with X-Reality for Mobiles for unmatched video quality and viewing experience. A 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974 processor allows seamless multi tasking and quick processing. The smartphone has a 2GB RAM that is used for faster operations. Its inbuilt storage of 16GB lets you store ample of data with ease. For higher memory requirements, it is expandable up to 64GB via micro SD card. The 2300mAh battery with STAMINA mode is perfect for the high end processor of the smartphone; it provides a long battery life for extended use. In terms of optics, the Xperia Z1S is set to be a lot similar to the Xperia Z1F and Xperia Z1. Its 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS sensor with the BIONZ image processor engine delivers clean, high definition images. The pulsed LED flash lets you take clear images even in dark settings. The versatile smartphone is waterproof and dust-proof which makes it very durable. It is fitted with an Adreno 330 GPU. The Adreno 330 is a perfect selection for an immersive 3D gaming experience. The much awaited Sony Xperia Z1S was photographed with the Xperia Z1 in November. It seemed to be comparatively smaller than Xperia Z1 but look wise it was quite similar. The Xperia Z1S looked a bit thicker than the Z1 at 9.4mm.

In the month of October, Sony launched the Xperia Z1F, in the winter smartphone line-up of Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo. The launch of Xperia Z1F resulted in more hype and expectations for the Xperia Z1S, and there has been a huge demand for the smartphone since.

The Xperia Z1F is a scaled down variant of the Xperia Z1, which is a flagship smartphone of Sony. Few specifications of the smartphone are similar to Z1 but in a more compact form. The Z1F boasts a 4.3 inch 720p display for streaming high quality videos. Its 2300 mAh battery offers a longer operating time for extended use. The Z1F is equipped with a Snapdragon 800 chipset for high performance and multi tasking. This powerful mobile processor provides optimum performance with power efficiency. Perfect for picturing your memorable moments, its 20.7 megapixel camera captures quality images with amazing color clarity. The 16 GB internal memory allows ample of storage space for your data. The Xperia Z1F is available at NTT DoCoMo stores in Japan in black, white, pink and lime colors. Recently, new reports suggested that Apple iPhone’s unmatched success in Japan is taken over by Sony’s Xperia Z1F. The iPhone is a popular device in Asian countries and has dominated the smartphone race. Sony has also confirmed that the Xperia Z1f will be available in other markets, although there is no announcement of the time frame of its release.

A smaller and cheaper version of the original flagship, Z1F manages to keep most of the internal specs from the Xperia Z1. Mini versions of flagship smartphones have been quite popular. A lot of mini phones which have been released of late have been identical when it comes to looks, but performance wise, they have been quite inferior to their original versions. Smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini are quite low in specs which reduce the overall performance level. Sony has avoided that mistake with Z1F. It has managed to keep the specs, on par with the original flagship which has allowed Xperia Z1F to trump the iPhone in sales.The availability of the Xperia Z1F has created an even bigger buzz for its international variant, the Xperia Z1S. The Z1S is expected to be similar to Z1F. Lately, the Z1S is going by the name Xperia Amami as spotted at the FCC. It is claimed to be the only international Android mini phone with all high-end specifications along with special features like dust resistance and water proof. Sony is set to unveil the much-talked smartphone at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which will soon be held next month. The price of the phone is $590 which can differ at the launch. It will release in the first half of 2014.
